you design a pad that will improve the fit of your saddle, better distribute your weight, and make your horse very happy! Skito pads are highly recommended to pair with Sensation Ride and other treeless saddles to improve weight distribution and provide additional spinal and wither clearance. They're also great for improving the fit and comfort of any treed saddle.

I have available various Skito shims to help you get your fit just right, and a set of fabric swatches so you can choose your pad fabric with confidence!

Shown at left is a Skito dryback pad with the foam inserts partially removed. There are lots of pad options- the foam is available in 1/2", 3/4", 1" and laminated thicknesses, and in different densities to suit your needs. Pad tops are made of high-quality fabrics- colorfast, fade- and stain-resistant cotton duck, cordura, and tapestry fabrics. Pad bottoms can be made in synthetic or 100% wool fleece.

The standard Skito Orthopedic saddle pad is made of a fleece or quilted bottom, fabric top, with pockets for customized foam inserts and shims that velcro closed at the front.

Options include the "Dryback" option which uses 3M Nomad fabric to increase air circulation and heat and moisture exchange through the pad. Pads can be made with top openings instead of front openings, wear leathers can be added, and custom shims can be added to improve your saddle fit.

Skito pads can be made for ANY saddle- they have patterns for most saddles, and if they don't have a pattern for your make and model of saddle, measuring for it is easy.

Caring for your Skito pad is easy, too- just remove the inserts and machine wash, drip dry.
