The G4 Formal Dressage saddle is designed to meet the needs of the dressage rider who wants a very traditional, tidy look for the show ring, with the close contact and comfort of a Sensation saddle.  The seat is slightly deeper than the G3 Dressage and the flaps are slightly longer and straighter with a bit more significant knee roll.

The flaps and seat have a distinctive streamlined stitching pattern that adds an elegant touch.  The rigging is slightly different than the G3 Dressage- the G4 has 3 billets, allowing the rider to choose which billets to use to best position the saddle and distribute weight.
 
Standard seat sizes are 16.5" - 17.5". Standard seat sizes can also be made smaller by using an optional seat bolster, which goes under the seat at the cantle and creates a smaller seat without permanently altering the saddle- great for a saddle that's used by multiple people or both adults and children. 

The seat is removable (it attaches with velcro) and replaceable, and is available in a variety of foam materials and thicknesses, and your choice of leather colors and textures.

Stirrups can be attached three different ways- in the traditional manner, as with a treed saddle;  shown above is the "Hard Use" configuration- the leather attaches to the stirrup bars at the top and to the saddle flap at the bottom, creating a loop that the stirrup hangs from- this allows for better weight distribution of riders who spend long hours in the saddle, such as endurance or distance riders or avid trail riders.

Stirrups may also be hung from the flap buckle only, called the "endurance" configuration- this method is best for Endurance or other distance riders who spend a lot of time standing in their stirrups.

The stirrup bars are moveable and can be moved from all the way forward next to the pommel, to all the way back next to the cantle, and anywhere in between, allowing you to completely customize your stirrup position to fit your needs.  Safety breakaway stirrup bars are available as an upgrade.

Knee blocks are velcro-on, and can be attached in whatever position you prefer, removed entirely, or replaced with Mega Knee Blocks as an upgrade for riders wanting more support.

This saddle has a twist similar to a traditional English saddle, but not as high- for riders wanting more twist than the standard model provides, a twist bolster is available which fits under the seat. 

This saddle comes standard with hard use leathers, and in your choice of available leather colors and textures.
